2003 Sneaker Courtship of Lebron
I love this Andscape article about how Lebron ended up signing with Nike. Gotta admit when I first heard about him years ago ... I thought Adidas will get him as he was always decked in the 3 stripes.
The main lesson/insight from this story : How Adidas lost LBJ, doing the similar mistake like how they lost MJ ... funny thing is both athletes originally wanted to sign with Adidas!
How Nike went after lebron, and got him is highlighted in the article. It shows the X factor that Nike does when they really pursue it.
